A reminder about the community forum “It’s Time We Talked” that is being held in Donald TONIGHT – Wednesday 12th October from 7.00pm at the Donald Primary School in the Big Shed.
The National Disability Scheme (NDIS) is the biggest social reform since Medicare. It will roll out in the Loddon region in May 2017.
In order for individuals with a disability and their carers to be prepared for the scheme, free information sessions are being provided in our area. Wedderburn Community House hosts Wedderburn session on the 19th of October.
Have you ever thought about wanting some new ways to help your child cope with the ups and downs of life? To help teach your kids about strong feelings and how they can manage them better? To learn parent approaches to remain calm when things get stressful in your family?
These feelings skills are really important to help children make and keep friends, do well at school and feel good about themselves.
Parents of children in Prep to Grade 6 at Wedderburn College have an opportunity in Term 4 2016 to participate in a free parent program. It is an 8 week program which runs from 1.15-3.15pm at the Wedderburn Football Club rooms.
The group will commence on Thursday 6th October 2016 and conclude on Thursday 24th November 2016.
If you would like to find out more about the program, please come and meet Kerry Holland and Jane Azul from Bendigo CASEA (Bendigo Health) from 3-3.30pm on Thursday 25th August 2016 at Wedderburn College.
If you cannot make this time and would like some more information on the program please call Kerry or Jane on Ph. 5442 7596.
If you attended an information session in term 2 and would still like to attend the group program, please phone Kerry and Jane to let them know.
