Submit Long Service Leave Request

Long Service Leave

Please see the Wedderburn College Staff Handbook and Workforce Plan for information regarding Long Service Leave entitlements and processes.

Application: An application is lodged with the principal and must be completed at least two terms in advance of the intended leave. If approved, the leave can immediately be entered on HRMS.

Criteria to be considered in determination of leave requests:

  1. The educational program of the school must be the prime consideration.  For example: applications from two teachers in the same study area at the same time may not be approved
  2. Personal circumstances of staff requesting leave
  3. Availability of replacement staff.
  4. Length of service since previous leave.

Please remember to submit a Known Absence request form once your Long Service Leave has been approved and confirmed. This should be done as soon as possible to provide the Daily Organiser with the maximum time to plan for your absence.
